TENTH OF MAY, 2013. SIGUR ROS

I'm aware that I have a serious problem in remembering something. I'm really a forgetful person -_-. It surprises me that most of my friends can remember so many things from like years ago, things and events from school (yea, it has been years! haha) and me? Every time we talk about what happened in high school, I was like, "really? that happened? where was I?" I don't even have a glimpse of that in my mind.

Butttt! BUT!

There's always something that I remember very clearly (we can never know how brain works). For example, song! Mostly, I know a song either from movie soundtrack, tv, ads, a recommendation from friends and umm crush, YouTube, and yeah Internet. And I remember how I knew almost each song I listen to now. It's easy to remember because, every time you listen to a song (especially when you haven't been listening to it for a whiiile), your brain shows a few scenes from your memories like a Déjà vu.

Listen to this, "oh, it's a soundtrack of that movie!" and make you wanna watch it again. Listen to that, "damn, it's his (an ex-crush) favorite song" and end up skip the song if you had a bad experience with him. Speaking of thaaat... *hey, I was gonna write about Sigur Rós concert, remember?*

The first time I knew Sigur Rós, was from a friend. This dude has a very cool taste of music and I don't know how he knows a looot of them. Let's just call him 'cool dude' (he must feel really proud if he read this). In an era of my favorite social network called Plurk, I first listened to Sigur Rós's All Alright. I don't remember exactly did he post its video? or... I don't know. Anyway, when I listened to it, I fell in love! The song is just so nice and soothing. :) and that's how I love Sigur Rós. I listened to their other songs, it's kinda dark and have mysterious feeling and all, but it suits me. I like them. Then I found out they're from Iceland same like my other favorite singer, Bjork! Turns out Iceland just naturally has cool tunes.
Years pass by...

It was early in 2013, Sigur Rós twitter account posted this:

And on their website, tadaaaa!:

I was jumping inside! Hip hip hooray!! Yaaaayyy! They are coming! I was like I.AM.SO.GONNA.BE.THERE!

Every time my favorite artists come to town, and I know I'm gonna watch their shows, I don't buy the ticket right away. Yet I know if I don't buy it, the ticket might sold out soon. I just like, "eeeeehhh, no worries, I'll get the ticket, it might get cheaper if they have sponsors" :P Two months before the concert, I still haven't buy the ticket. And yeah, it is expensive. Ugh. But, I will still buy it, though. I bought a more expensive ticket than that price.

One day, scrolling thru twitter timeline, someone I follow retweeted a Sigur Rós's ticket quiz. Remember, you can not rely on quiz. Never! Because what's the chance? Million people want the prize. But, sure why not trying it? So, I clicked the link.. the quiz sponsored by Lipton Indonesia. I join the quiz, follow the rules and all. There were two parts of quiz and I missed the first one. So, I played the second part. It's like a game on its website. It's really easy, you just need to be fast. The result shows the top 20. I made it to the list, but meeehhh not even the top three. So, whatever, just prayed for the best. Then, one afternoon, I got called by Lipton! Woohoooo! Yeaaaah! I really couldn't believe that I won! Alhamdulillah, thank you so much Lipton! Turn out, maybe the people above me on the list cheated, maybeeee? Who knows. The lady who called me said that she will give further information later, but didn't say when. I saw my name on the website saying that I won. So, yeah, no need to buy the ticket!

A week before before the concert, I still haven't got my ticket, and I surely freak out. What if they lie? What if there's no quiz? What if the ticket sold out??! Two days before the concert, aaaarrrghhhh!!! It was at night? After maghrib maybe? I got called about the ticket *phew finally!* told me to get ticket on the day in their office, luckily still in senayan area.

The day! Jonsiiiiiiii uuuuwwwww
I took the ticket, prayed ashar, had coffee while waiting for the time. 5 pm on my waaaay there. It was in istora, right? I thought it was in tennis indoor *schtoooopid* The line to exchange the ticket was sooo loooooong. I don't even had a time to check the merchandise booth (which I kinda regretted later because the t-shirt sold out *duh*). I waited in line for about an hour or two? can't remember. The guy and lady in ticket booth kinda confused because the ticket was for two person and bla bla bla. I got the ticket, festival! Woohoo! Then, I still have to wait for my friend (thank god I have someone to watch with). There he iiis! We still have to wait in line *again* for hours! Ugh, how many hours did I stand that day??

Finally, inside the venue! People were packed! The stage was covered by some white curtain *curious curious*. Then the show started.. with green light behind the curtain. Sigur Rós's concert is the first concert which the lyrics I can't memorized, don't know the meaning, don't even know how to pronounce. I can recognize them when the songs played, but don't know which one is it. Isn't that magical? :D When the white curtain finally fell down and then there's the band, people were screaming, girls were squeaking haha :)). Jonsiiiiiiii looking so cloooooose!

They played many of the good ones. Almost all from the most played songs on my playlist. It was so greaaaaat.. I.can't.even. The stage and the sound were really incredible. God, could it be any more perfect? When it's time for Hoppipolla *favorite one for sure*, it was so dreamy, you can't believe it if you're really there or is it a lucid dream? (you know, out of body experience) hahaha. The light from the stage were so beautiful like a night sky full of stars. It was so jaw dropping. I couldn't stop smiling.. wide. :D teehee. They also played songs from the new album, Kveikur. They're all so goooooood. All in all it was an absofreakinlutely amazing. :') And by the way, I watched it with the cool dude.
